Linear Edge Filters

Filters foreign particles down to .010". Improves homogenization of the melt. Minimizes downtime.

Materials must pass over multiple flutes at the infeed end of the filter element, then pass over the barrier to the discharge flutes. The .010" clearance above the barrier prevents larger particles or unplasticized pellets from passing through the filter, while improving homogenization of the melt. Contaminants are held in the infeed side, preventing plugged sub-gates and hot runner tips. Multiple flutes minimize significant pressure drop. The filter has standard 1.5" O.D. nozzle body dimensions, uses standard nozzle tips and heater bands and the nozzle tip is easily removed for cleaning.
